WYANDANCH  PARKING LOT ENTRANCE. FOR THE LONG ISLAND RAILRAOD, LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK.

Installation was finished mid April 2015

 

 

I created a drawing for each off the windows.  Each window measures 10' 11/16" x  7'.  Drawing for the smaller windows were in proportion to those windows.    I found the process exciting. The drawing were scanned it a very high resolution, then enlarged to full scale, thus the same size of the windows.

All colors creating the glass art are ceramic melting colors, hand painted, which were fired to the glass surface at a temperature of approximately 1260 degrees.  The colors are based on metal oxides and are, therefore, highly resistant to deterioration or change.
